News : UniKL Care : Spreading love to 34,000 flood victims

UniKL Care was created to promote volunteerism amongst students and staff alike. It is an on going community effort to help those in need all over Malaysia. The amount of reponse of UniKL Care from the UniKL community was over whelming, everyone wants to lend a hand in some sort and now UniKL care provides that platform for students and staff.

Currently UniKL care is focusing on the flood situation in Pahang.  There are over 40,000 people affected and left homeless by the flood in Pahang that started last week, the worst hit area would be Kuantan with a majority of 34,000 people affected. UniKL Care doing our part to help has started collecting donations in hope that it lessens the burden of all the victims.

In addition to the donations, UniKL Care is sending volunteers to the worst hit areas to further help those affected on a more intimite level. The first wave of volenteer will be sent on the 11th of December and will be spending two nights there to offer all the physical hand that's needed. The second wave soon after. This will give all those who volunteers valuable experience and possibly develop a deeper sense of compassion towards humanity.

UniKL urges all the students to take action and join us on this worthy cause. To be a part of UniKL Care check out our Facebook page.
