The Malaysian Rail Supporting Industry Roadmap, envisages a high demand of skilled human capital in the field of MRO for the rail industry up to 2030. This is in accordance to the rapid development of the rail sector in Malaysia where investments is expected to be as high as RM160 billion."
Tan Sri Ismail Adam, Chairman of Prasarana Group Malaysia Berhad in his welcoming address says, "This MOU is significant in terms of developing the rail industry in Malaysia. Rail is becoming a major mode of transport in the city, and the government also has plans to expand rail transportation to other major cities in Malaysia. This effort will require a significant increase in skilled human capital in Malaysia especially in the rail industry. This MOU with UniKL will hopefully fill the void of talent in the rail industry.
